| Barbara Karon writes: My daughter
loves butterflys, so I created this, and it's reversible. I also made
pillow
shams with
butterfly quotes on it. I made
four shams, and two smaller pillows(not
shown). |

I am a professional Long-arm Quilter.
I am sending you a couple of pictures of quilts. One is a pieced top
that I quilted for a
customer and the other is a "theme quilt" that I did using yardage
and simply quilting and binding.
Thank you,

Made this quilt using 20 different
Natures Tonals fabrics by Kona. The quilt hangs over an unused, unsightly
door and also helps
keep the cold out in the winter. This is my second quilt.

The red, white, blue, etc quilt. It is my very first quilt
ever. I taught myself from a book. It is all hand stitched. Did it for
my youngest daughter during cheerleading season so her school is embellished
on it along with a few other things she wanted. She did not like the empty
white areas. I am really proud of it and I think it turned out so well.
The next one is for my youngest granddaughter Bunni. It is full of colour. I
call it "The Many Moods of Bunni". She is so full of life and each
block shows it by the bright colors and different designs I used. I am really
pleased with how this one turned out. I am currently working on two more right
now. One for our grandson and oldest granddaughter.

Joy sponsored a quilt with Quilt Index. Here's what the Valerie made. It's very pretty. Here's my email from Dana explaining the sponsorship.
Thank you so much for sharing the picture of your quilt with us, using our
Richly Deserved pattern. I am very pleased to be able to share it with our
readers, who will no doubt be inspired by it. I'm copying Joy Peters of
Fabrics of Joy ( http://www.fabricsofjoy.com/ ) on this message, as they are
the pattern's sponsor. Thanks again! Dana |

“Richly Deserved” quilt—it is a birthday quilt and although it may be hard to see the focus fabric is birthday cakes and party hats. I do a lot of piecing so I always have more than a couple of projects going at any one time. I love Thimbleberries fabrics and could use anything in the line but I also loved RJ’s Shades of Summer (blue) or any of the Marcus Brothers Special Batiks. Thanks,
Dona |
Joy, Here is the photo of my first quilt, I hope you like it. I like the small print, fun colors!!
